I have a WordPress network installation. Google XML Sitemaps is installed and activated via a plugin called Multisite Plugin Manager. For one of the sites, I use a plugin called User Role Editor.
The purpose of User Role Editor was so that I could create a role just slightly above Author which allows a user just two additional permissions:
- Edit published pages - the user can edit and republish static pages to which they have been assigned ownership
- Edit pages - the user can create new pages but cannot publish, they must be sent for review
Once I assigned the user this new role, the Google XML Sitemaps plugin is available under Settings and the user can edit and save the plugin's configuration options. This doesn't seem appropriate and I don't want my users who are assigned this new role to be able to do this. Even though those two permissions are activated by default for the Editor role, users in that role do not get to see or change the Google XML Sitemaps options.
Thanks in advance for your assistance. If I should post this issue on the User Role Editor forum, please advise.
