   Automatic update from 3.2.5. fails to install. Reports 'cannot remove old plug-in". Tried to uninstall 3.2.5 to reload 3.2.6 but still get the same message. Any suggestions most welcome.

   I have similar problem - Google XML Sitemaps: Failed writing body (82 != 4344). Looks like the problem with maintenance mode, but my maintenance plugin works fine (I guess).

   It seems that my problem stems from the way my host server has set up the permissions. At present I am denied access - so I am waiting for them to upgrade my status to permit access.
