   After installing the latest update of google-sitemap-generator I get this error for yahoo, google and ask

   # There was a problem while notifying Google. View result
   # There was a problem while notifying Bing. View result
   # There was a problem while notifying Ask.com. View result

   I know it's been written about this before, but none of the other solutions work for me.

   I have to say that yahoo and ask do get notified although I get the above message, but I cannot check about google as the View results link for google takes me to a 404 page of my site.

   I have other blogs (although this is the only one with 2.6.5 on, all others have 2.7 and 2.7.1) and they all work properly with no error messages after the update.

   Thanks for any help.

   I have the same problem... Sometimes it works if I rebuild it manually. I am running WP 2.8

   The new release fixed this

   Hello,
   I am also getting this message, There was a problem while notifying Ask.com.
   There must be someone who had this problem and solved it. Can anyone help please? Using WP 2.9
