   Great idea to implement google friend connect with WP but I was able to achieve better results and more flexible customization by pasting the gadget code into the text widget.

   I'm releasing updates that should take care of your concerns and hopefully add even more "out-of-the-box" functionality to friend connect for WordPress users.

   We're at version 0.9.0 at present time WEB11.

   Care to take another look at the plugin?
