I've got the following error when trying to activate the Google Analytics plugin in WordPress 2.9.2

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_IS_GREATER_OR_EQUAL, expecting '(' in /hermes/bosweb/web125/b1253/ipw.naturesi/public_html/healingsynergy/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/googleanalytics.php on line 542

    Thank you.

    Same error, guys!

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_IS_GREATER_OR_EQUAL, expecting '(' in /homepages/7/d230949312/htdocs/blog/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/googleanalytics.php on line 542

    I am using WordPress 2.8.2.

    Any helping comments? THX!

I was able to do a workaround. As long as you're not tracking Gravity Forms and you have access to edit the googleanalytics.php file (I use VI via SSH access), I suppose it should work:

Just comment the offending section out:
On line 542: Add /* to the beginning of the line,
On line 559: Add */ to the end of the line.

Then go back to your plugin manager on your site and Activate, then you should be ready to enter your site ID, etc.

Hit me up if you have questions!
