I have added the google ajax translator, but am unable to change the button that says "Translate" eventhough i changed it in root file. Also, would it be possible to substitute it with an image of a flag rather than the word translate.
Im not a programmer so id appreciate any help I can get.

Google has discontinued its free translation API service:
http://code.google.com/apis/language/translate/overview.html
It is possible to use Google translation with their widget though, so you can put this code into a text widget or something like that:
http://translate.google.com/translate_tools
