   This plugin no longer works (as of December 1, 2011), because Google cancelled their free translate service.

   Instead of this, I was able to use Google's new translate service. I got the code for the widget here: http://translate.google.com/translate_tools

   It gives you the code. Now, I could add that to a custom widget.
