[Plugin: GoCodes] Wrong redirect when "Redirection Key" is too long? (4 posts)

    Hello.

I am using GoCodes version 1.3.4 with WP 2.8.6
Everytime the "Redirection Key" is too long I get redirected to the front page - not to the target URL.

As far as I could figure this out - it just happens when the redirection key is too long - meaning to many letters.

    Any idea for solving this?

    Looking forword for some help.

    Thank you!

    Florian

Well, how long is your redirection key? I think there might be a limit as to how long of a key will fit in the database field. (Possibly 255 characters.) It could be truncating it, e.g. "mylongk" instead of "mylongkey", which means that using what you perceive to be the key will fail.

The redirection key is not that long, for example this is the key:

    "trachten-dirndl-shop"

The URL looks like that: http://www.xxxxxxxxxx.de/shop/trachten-dirndl-shop/

When opening this URL, I get redirected to the front page but not the specified redirection url...

    So something goes wrong...

I did to a test with Apache Headers - a firefox plugin:

    HTTP/1.x 301 Moved Permanently
    Date: Fri, 11 Dec 2009 15:34:26 GMT
    Server: Apache/2.2
    X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.10
    Location: http://www.xxxxxxxxxx.de
    Content-Length: 0
    Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=100
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    Content-Type: text/html

Can nobody please help me. It is still not working...

This is the Target URL: http://partners.webmasterplan.com/click.asp?ref=508703&site=4070&type=text&tnb=2

    And here Redirection Key: trachten-dirndl-shop

Does this work with your version of GoCodes?
