    Hi,

I think you'd better deactivate this plugin before you go blacklisted by Google since it consider the permalinks as spam indexing. (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/150864?replies=3)

I have warned the author today and i hope he will do something so that the wordpress community won't suffer from this.

I will myself try either to find another translation plugin or write a bit of code so that the flags point directly http://translate.google.com cheking first Google will allow that or making them nofollow.

    Regards,

Ok, I have been too hot with my previous post !

The plugin seems quite alright (except of the google 403 error not fixed with the ban preventer) but if you remove the widget and deactivate the extension wordpress feeds the home page with a 200 status on translated permalinks (the it/, en/, fr/ stuff ...).

I still don't know where the problem is.

    Hi,

I'm using the plugin on my site at 'Cyprus Property News Magazine'.

I was also getting the "Sorry, the translation engine is temporarily not available." a couple of days ago, but everything seems OK today.

I guess you've got the 'Enable translation engines ban prevention' box checked in the options tab?

    Cheers,

I guessing that it's a server issue. It works great on two of my sites.
My ipower site has worked 10% of the time. ipower blows...
I can't get CAPTCHA to work either on that troubled host.

Any idea what server settings to look for?

I got problem to with global translator. My website blocked by google and Freetranslation warned me about using global translator. then I removed the plugin.

I have created one that different from other translator I don't use flags but I use drop down list. I use google traslation as engine, I hope my translator not violent with google translation TOS.

You can see and try it, i have implemented in my website http://slayo.com/

I'd love it if this would work with Google on my blog, but for some reason all I ever get is "Sorry, the Google translation engine is temporarily not available. Please try again later or switch to another translation engine"

This is with the latest version now too 0.9.1.1...

I can see there are a few sites using this plug-in where the same problem is happening. You can see here on my personal development blog what is happening.

    Hi danoneil
Google sometimes blocks the translation requests for a while (see the FAQ): the new caching system is better than the previous one.
    So there are two options:
    1) Be patient and wait until the Google translation engine removes its blocks
    2) Switch to another translion engine such as Promt

    Thanks Pozzad,

I've switched it to Prompt as you suggested and I'll try switching back to Google in a few weeks.

    Hi all
The version 1.0 (just released) should drammatically reduce the ban risk.
I suggest you to download and install it asap.
