    Hi

I have your plugin installed and it works fine, but after about a day, the plugin gets deactivated automatically... when I activate it again, it works again, until the other day, when it is deactivated again.

Any suggestions what the problem might be?

    Beste regards
    Christoph

Hi Christoph - that sounds weird

Do you have any other plugin (maybe some kind of admin plugin) that might be attempting an auto deactivate ?

(In googling to see if any other such problems I saw this http://www.presscoders.com/2011/11/deactivate-wordpress-plugin-automatically/)

This behaviour is not happening on the test site (running wp 3.8). Perhaps try deactivating other plugins to isolate whether something is interfering ?

Please also post what versions of everything you are using.

The 'daily' business might mean that it is happening around the time of the wordpress updates check. Maybe it is trying to do an update and its failing ? Check the system log files if you can.

Or try disabling updates for a while ? (as a debug)

What host ? some folks think a poor performing host where updates might fail, might cause the problem.

    Hi anmari

Thanks for your replies. It is possible that another plugin causes the deactivation, but unfortunately there are so many plugins installed, that its not possible for me to deactivate one after another and always wait one or two days to see what happens.

I now tried to disable automatic updates and see if the plugin stays activated.

The versions are all up to date (wordpress 3.8.1). The host is http://www.novatrend.ch/ - no idea if the performing is poor... I have also no possibility to check the log files (they are server sided, right?)

I keep you informed about the try with the disabled auto-update.

    Best regards
    Christoph
