I'm using genesis featured widget amplified to display little bits of text in a custom widgeted homepage on a genesis child theme built up from the genesis sample child theme. When I used pages for these snippets of text (each with a featured image) I was able to select the required page from the drop down menu. However replacing these with a custom post type called snippets via a simple one-off plugin (cpt set up to be hierarchical like pages) I can only select a particular 'snippet' by looking up its post-id and entering that. It would be great (particularly easier to document) if instead there was a way to make it so that when my 'snippet' custom post type is selected in a gfwa widget, the fields, change similarly to when pages was selected in thr widget ie - a simple drop down listing the available pages (or snippet cpt posts) to select the required one - could that be possible?

This is something I might consider in the future, but not something that can readily be done at this time. The issue is deciding which post types will be added and getting them to update in place of the pages drop down.
