Genesis Featured Widget Amplified
[resolved] Add image to list (5 posts)

    Hi Nick,
Is there a way to add the post featured image to the List of Additional Posts? I see the gfwa_list_items hook, but I'm not sure how to go about adding an image to it.

    Thanks.

There isn't really a way to do that at this time. I can look into adding a filter or something to change this output.

    OK. Thanks for the reply.

What I had been doing was running two instances of the widget next to each other, one to show the "Featured" post with a larger featured image, title, excerpt, etc. Then a second instance with only the title and a tiny image to simulate a list. But I figured using two instances caused one additional DB query that could be lumped together.

So, one more slightly related question: Can the format of the main featured posts be changed to <li>s, rather than <div>s? No big deal if not, I can specify a class for the widget and style it.

Thanks for the plugin. Good work.

There isn't a simple way to change it to use list markup for the main section.

No worries. I will use some CSS to simulate the other lists on the site.

If you get to adding a filter in a future version I will be deeply grateful.

    Thanks again, Nick.
