[Plugin: Gecka Submenu] Shortcode for Parent Menu on Subpage not working

I have a 3-tier menu structure
I have successfully installed and used the Submenu on the parent page using the shortcode
[menu start_from=current]

Which can be seen here

However, when I tried to include the parent menu in one of the sub-pages I get no display using this shortcode.
[menu start_from=parent]

Am I missing something?
