   When I logged into my WP yesterday it said this under plugins
   

   There is a new version of GD Star Rating available. View version 1.6.4 Details or upgrade automatically.

   I clicked on the auto update button and it attempted to install the GD update. Then it displayed this message:

   Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/gd-star-rating.zip.

   Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1319717 bytes) in /home2/fullofju/public_html/witchescupboardinfo/wp-includes/http.php on line 1331

   Now when I go to my WP dashboard is shows a box with a red X where the GD rating chart should be.

   I'm not sure what the problem is, or how to fix it? Does this mean there is a mistake in the update?

   How many times the same thing needs to be repeated, not only for this plugin, but for every other. This message is very self explanatory and it says that PHP allocated memory is not enough to complete operation. You have it set to 32MB, but it needs to be more.

   WP 2.8 uses much more memory than previous versions, and 32MB is not enough anymore (depending on number of plugins). You need to increase it.
