I found this plugin to be potentially useful for me but I'm not sure what I'm doing. I have successfully made an event in my calendar and placed a sample snippet of code from the FT Calendar Help page, on a new page I posted, but
    1) I cannot see the event in the calendar
    2) If I want to add a new event, it doesn't show up either.
    3) I can only make one events' details, even if I add multiple events.

I tried making a new page with a new event, but that just creates more pages. I don't want more pages, just more events on the same calendar. I'm afraid the quickstart isn't helping me to understand how this plugin works exactly.
Here's the code snippet I am using:

    [ftcalendar calendars='hpeh' heading_label='full' timeformat='g:i' legend='on']

    Hi Chrisps,

If you're using IE8, there is/was a bug that made it look like the events were not showing up. Please update to the latest version, 1.0.3.1 to fix this bug. You will need to set your calendar colors again in the plugin settings.

I don't really understand what you want the plugin to do. With FT Calendar the calendar data is created and put on the calendar, but the link is to the post/page that the event data is associated with. If you want multiple events, you need to have multiple posts/pages. Unless of course the event is a recurring event (like a meeting that occurs the first Wednesday of every month).

The event details are not stored by the plugin. We take advantage of WordPress' post types to handle that information. All this plugin does is enable you to create a calendar out of your existing post types.

    Hi Layotte,
I understand from what you wrote how this plugin works. I guess it will not work as I had thought it might, however I'm glad you took the time to reply quickly and explain it better. Thank you. Perhaps I can find a use for it in the future though, especially if it has the ability to link to the Google calendar.

    Hi Chrisps

No problem. There are other calendar plugins that do store all the event data in their own database. We felt that this was not the best use of WordPress' functionality, so we went another route. Especially since the release of custom post types.

    Good luck!

    Hi Layotte,

I'm wondering (hoping, actually) that there is a way to display the day of the month, eg. "Monday", in the calendar list view ... doable?

    thanks for your great plugin!

    Ricki
