FT Calendar
How do you display the calendar dates within a post? (7 posts)

    I have FT Calendar turned on for posts and entered a couple of dates for a post. Yes, the post displays in the right calendar. But I want the dates to show up in the post, as a trip detail. How do I get them to do that? Is there a shortcode that needs to go into the post? Or do I need to modify the PHP?

    Thanks

    Hello,

    This is available in the premium version, the option is called "Show Schedule within Post."

    Thank you.

    I don't mean to hijack this thread, but is there the ability to have a little more control over where this date gets placed? I've got some custom fields that get pulled in above the content of the post and I'd like to be able to put the date in between some of those. I'd also like to be able to pull in the date within the loop. Is there a function I could call?

    Again, this is probably a question for Premium Support, but unfortunately, I'm unable to access it...

    OK, nevermind. I see why the date wasn't being pulled into the loop. I was using the advancedexcerpt() rather than the_content(). Still, it would be nice to be able to access the event's date without relying on the position of the_content()

    Hey, you can remove the filter and add a different filter (assuming your plugin has filters). Something like this in your theme's functions.php file should work:

    global $ft_cal_events;
    remove_filter( 'the_content', array( &$ft_cal_events, 'get_post_schedule' ) );
    add_filter( 'your_plugin_hook', array( &$ft_cal_events, 'get_post_schedule' ) );

    Just replace "your_plugin_hook" with whatever hook you want it to run on.

    Email us at info [at] calendar-plugin #dot# com and we'll set you up with the premium portal.

    Is the premium version available? I went to the website and it said it was pending... so can I do something in the meantime?
