FT Calendar
Day of the Week always today's day (not date) (7 posts)

Thanks to an earlier post, I was able to resolve the problem of a user clicking on a particular date on the monthly calendar view and it defaulting to today's date.

I do, however, still have one problem. Whether click on a particular date in the month or week view, or when using the calendar in day view and using the arrow keys to move forward or back a day ... the date is shown correctly (as are the events) but the day shown is always today's day. Eg. today's a Wednesday, so every date clicked on is shown as a wednesday.

Is there a way to fix this please?

    lmk999,

I just submitted a fix for these issues... you should see it in your dashboard in the next 15 or so minutes.

Thanks Lew. The fix seems to work for the day view - ie when you use the arrow to go back or forward day/days. It also works now in the week view when you click on a particular date.

However, in the monthly view, it still defaults to today's day on any date clicked on, eg I click on 13 May and it states Thursday 13 May rather than Friday....

ps Please could you include the fix you came up with in future plugin updates so it doesn't overwrite the changes each time?

Ah ok. Think I've just fixed it. I used the fix from http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-ft-calendar-clicking-a-date-broken?replies=3 to update your latest version of class-shortcodes.php and it now appears to be all working correctly.

Previous post is still valid though, as it would be useful if you could update the latest version with that fix so that future updates don't break it again.

Many thanks for your help :)

Hrm, I thought I included it in there... I'll make sure to do it before the next update.
