   I've got a client who I've setup wordpress for and it's working fine (it's in a subdir called main).

   She's come up with some new that she wants, and since I've spent the last couple of hours looking for something to fit the bill with no luck, I thought I'd ask for help.

   She wants, on our main page, outside the blog directory, a list of the last 5 posts she has done in her blog, with the title of the post, the first 10-20 words, and a link to the page with the entire post.

   It there was a bit of php code or something out there that could do this fairly easily it would really make things easier on me.

   CG-Feedread, or other RSS aggregator, is generally the weapon of choice. You pull from the feed, it gets cached and updated every hour or two or three -- so while it isn't perfectly 'live', the caching means it has near-zero overhead on a high traffic site (and you can always manually clear the cache if needed).
