    hi

    I'm wondering what plugin people use for image management.

    I want to simply:

    * Upload an image
    * Insert it into a post (right-aligned most of the time)
    * Automatically resizes to a thumbnail
    * Sort images into categories

    ... and perhaps if possible the ability to give the plugin the URL to the image and for it to download that image from the URL and put it on my servers etc.

    What do people use?

  2. WordPress 2.0 comes with that feature. ;)

    On my site the new upload function does not work. It's always complaining about some safe mode restrictions I can't influence. Tried a lot to help the system, but...

    Do you all have safe mode disabled or is there some kind of hack I havn't heard of yet?

    Try Iimage Browser with Safe Mode off, you can make the directories (directories = categories =P).

    With Safe Mode On, you must use Photopress, the categories are "visual" (you will understand if you test it); and in the future it will support true categories.
    The are some little problems with Photopress but it's getting better everyday.

    IImage Browser URL: http://fredfred.net/skriker/index.php/iimage-browser

    I am using IImage Browser with no problems.
