   I'm looking for a way to automatically "shut off" commenting ability on a post after a set amount of time (say, 2 weeks). Most people comment on posts in the first few days anyway. Having open comments on a post that's 6 months old is just asking for spam.

   I'm actually kind of surprised WordPress doesn't have this feature built in (ie, "keep comments open for X days, then close them") on each post as you create it. (Or does it and I'm just stupid?)

   Or, even something so simple as a way you could click on something in the control panel - "Close all comments for posts older than X" Instead of having to close them on each post one by one...

   Thanks. Sorry, I did look in the plugins list several times and for some reason just didn't see that one (Autoshutoff).

   (It doesn't help that the new design for wp-plugins directory is so awful, with the collapsing windows)
