plugin for advanced searching and sorting?

Basically my customer needs a website, that many users can easily add their own info, I did this with the “more-feilds” plugin,

the bigger problem is I need an advanced searching page where you can specify multiple categories to limit the search to. for example you could could select from a drop down list of companies. Then search within those companies (for example, posts in a category called dell).

Is there any good plugin to do this? or am I going to have to get my hands dirty?
