The problem is my plugin “Font”. I think it was suspended but I’ve got no notification about it. And now I’m getting lots of emails why is the plugin page not working.

I just added some cool new stuff like changing color and size of the fonts and it’s really frustrating to not be able to add more new stuff now.

Finally I’ve found “modlook” which maybe will help me to get in touch with a moderator.

This is not correct use of that modlook tag which is only to be used to report spam or a thread containing some other prohibited behaviour.

Forum Moderators do not manage the plugin directory. Please email plugins@wordpress.org to discuss this, but remember everyone here is a volunteer so you may not get an immediate answer.

Review the guidelines for inclusion in the plugins directory

I’d take a guess at license violation.

    From your ReadMe: http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/font/trunk/Font.php

License: Freeware for comercial and non-commercial use on website. All Rights Reserved. No re-engineering permitted. Read each font license info before use!
DO NOT REMOVE OR MODIFY ANY FILE – THIS IS ONLY CONDITION FOR USING THIS FREE FONTS PLUGIN

That’s in DIRECT opposition to GPL. Review the guidelines cubecolour linked to for further explanations.

Also, you’re adding footer links to sites without asking the user’s permission first (also known as opt-in). This is not allowed in the plugin repository.

Either violation is enough to have the plugin removed.

What you’re saying about are issues from the past and they were resolved. You’re looking on old files.

    1. “DO NOT REMOVE OR MODIFY ANY FILE – THIS IS ONLY CONDITION FOR USING THIS FREE FONTS PLUGIN” is in not active trunk folder. The active file is in tags/3.1 and it contains GPL license text
    2. “you’re adding footer links to sites without asking the user’s permission” no I’m not. addFFWLink() function which was adding a link is not executed at any time so it does not do anything.

These were issues from the past when I was not concious of these violations yet. After my plugin was suspended I’ve removed these issues and the plugin was working fine until a few days ago.

Now I see no reason why my plugin is not working and there is no contact information for the administrator to deal with problem like that.

@cubecolour thanks for the link I’ll write an email to this address.

@killerdeveloper – I think the issue stems from here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/delete-somthing-in-footer?replies=5

I use the plugin (though sadly it’s down for me at the moment, and has been since Thursday) and I have the footer links on all my pages, which I’ve been unable to remove….

Anyway hope you manage to get this issue resolved.

That was a big surprise for me that this link is there again!

First time that was my goal to put this link in the plugin. I didn’t knew that it’s against terms yet. Then the plugin was suspended in version 2.0. and then I only removed the link and updated to 2.1.

It looks like when I was recently improving my plugin I had to use old source files from version 2.0 by accident. That old version had that link in the footer. I wasn’t aware that my latest version contains that old link so I couldn’t understand why the plugin was suspended again. Now I’ve made a new 3.2 version which removes link on updating to this version.

What should I do now to unsuspend my plugin so people can upgrade to the new version and get rid of that link?

@killerdeveloper – is this what is causing the fontsforweb.com site to be down then?

Pleased to hear you’ve got rid of the footer links on the new version and hope this means you get the plugin reinstated, as for me it’s still the best fonts plugin and hope to be able to use it again asap…

@killerdeveloper – Any update on this? The plugin is still down for me…

@thehitman I’m just waiting for plugins@wordpress.org to reveiew plugin files and hopefully the “Font” will start working very soon.

Fontsforweb.com is finally back online(this time VPS) so your current plugin should be working fine.

Unfortunatelly until the plugin is unsuspended you can only use your non-latest version of the plugin.
