   How can i use it in the widget area?

   If i put in my code:
   [flickr-gallery mode="recent" per_page="8" pagination=0]

   I see only the code, but not my images like on pages.

   Same problem for me(with WP 3.0.2)!
   But it used to work! Don't know if it comes from an update or a new plugin...
