• Hi,

I can’t authorize the API and secret code with a Authentication Token. When I click at Done authenticating at Flickr (after doing that) nothing happens.

    Thanks in advance

  • You have to come back to the Flickr Gallery settings page to finish that.

Nothing happens when I click at “Done authenticating at Flickr”. When I refresh / reopen the settings page it shows the “generate” link again.

reinvl, I had this same problem and had to find a work around myself.

Please give my work around a shot and see if it works for you.

For anyone still having problems, version 1.3 of the plugin should have a much better process for authenticating. Hopefully I can get to that soon.

I’m using plugin v1.3 and WP v2.9.2 and I had this working once on a test site and every time I’ve tried since I get the same as everyone else is getting. Wish I’d made a note of the first working auth token now.

The only thing that is the same is the Flickr account, I’ve tried a totally clean build of WP with only this plugin and still no auth token. I’ve deleted the apps and permissions created on my Flickr account now more time than I can remember and I still can’t get it working. Maybe I could try a brand new Flickr account to test…?

Dan, I loved what I saw when it worked that one time on a test site – it’s exactly what I need. I for one would buy you a beer if you can resolve this, and I reckon a lot of other people would too…

Just tried a brand new Flickr account, API key and secret. The same thing happens – the “Done Authenticating at Flickr” link doesn’t work but when opened in a new window this is the message:

“An external application has requested your login credentials and permission to perform certain actions on your behalf, but has failed to include all the required data.

You don’t really need to know what this means, except that you can’t use the application until this problem is fixed. (It’s a third-party problem, not a Flickr problem.)

There are lots of applications using the Flickr API. If you are curious about this, visit the Flickr Services page to see more examples of cool stuff. Otherwise, you might like to head to your home page…”

    Any help appreciated!
