• Hello everyone,

I am using the Flexslider to display digital comics online and I am exploring ways to make the comics viewable if a person is offline. I was thinking a viewer could read the comics offline if they already have the page open in their browser, using caching. I guess what I’m asking, is this caching possible to do using the Flexslider plugin and wordpress?

I’ve thought about ways a reader could download the comics. A pdf would be the easiest, but does not look as nice between page transitions. Downloading the HTML and images of the flexslider is too clunky and unrealistic to think all viewers will be computer literate enough to do this.

I am trying to avoid a mobile app and the offline/no wifi viewing is most important on phone browsers because the comics take a while to load if the person does not have a good internet connection.

I would love advice on any other ways offline viewing might be possible.

If anyone here is an expert on caching, consider this a job opportunity. Reply to this post with a knowledgable answer and maybe we can exchange information.

    Thanks!
