Button on site displaying "Error" Tried removing and reauthorizing application, and removing plugin (deleted files) and reinstalling. Also reinstalled WP. Have latest version of plugin.

    Callback URL: http://www.someneatthings.com

When I try to reauthorize, I get:

    Callback Error.

Please clear browser cach and cookies, then try again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Have cleared cache and cookies, no good (using Firefox 6.0.2).

From https://flattr.com/settings/applications I see that the linked URL is https://flattr.com/settings/www.someneatthings.com, which returns a 404 error, despite the fact that the callback URL is in the same format as the two other applications I have.

The other two links from applications:
http://blog.secondwheel.org/ (button works, URL from Flattr app page works)
https://flattr.com/settings/www.tourabsurd.com (button works, URL from Flattr app page does not work)

    Please advise. Thanks!

Site-Buttons and Callback domain are not related!

If site buttons display error, the problem is not plugin related.

Thanks, Michael. Any idea where I can go to dig into this further?

I have a similiar problem - re-authorization doesn't work. I installed the plugin according the instructions, but when I try to authorize it, I get the Callback error message. I am hosting my blog at Hosteurope, if this is of any importance.

hosteurope seems to be not compatible with flattr api

Hm. So there is no chance to tweak the plugin in a way to make it compatible?

you would only be missing the autosubmit feature...

You mean autosubmit postings to Flattr? I can live with that.

I have installed the latest version of the plugin with wordpress 3.2.1 and ended-up with the same issue when i need to re-authorize with flattr. Any idea? Can we have the functionality working without this re-authorization? if so how?

The next update will use the new flattr API v2 and authorization issues should be fixed.
