Hi guys,
sorry for being a "newbie": I installed Flash Gallery and would like to use it - but it seems to me that even being familiar with IT for more than 20 years that I'm a looser! I got the feeling that installation and using of Flash Gallery seems to be easy by reading the installation hints, like "...you have to use [flashgallery] instead of [gallery]..." Can somebody please try to explain me that? Or give a link for further documentation? Where should I insert [flashgallery]? Which directory and which file?
Am I the only one getting struggled? For the time being I feel like an complete4 idiot........
Thanks for your help!

[gallery] is a shortcode tag that'll be replaced with an ordinary WordPress gallery - these are made up of the photos you attach to a post.
Use [flashgallery] if you want the FGR-plugin to handle display of the images instead.

Thanks for your fast reply, ulfben!
I know that I have the opportunity to upload pics via wordpress gallery. And I installed Flash Gallery PlugIn as described - but nothing changes respctievly happens... Can you tell me where I can find a manual or further docs how to handle? Basically it seems to be the PlugIn I was searching for, but it's useless and sensefree if not working...
:-(
Or do I think to complicated?

Jack,
Here http://codex.wordpress.org/Gallery_Shortcode you will find your answer.
The codex is a great way to find things about WordPress.

I agree with Jack2401.
I can't get it to work either. All I get is a Loading-symbol inside the gallery window.
I would very much like some more information on how to use this FlashGallery.
For example:
Where (in what directory) do I put the images?

upload the images normally if you were creating a gallery for a post
on the new post page there's a 'upload/insert' section with an image uploader. after the images are uploaded the gallery shortcodes will work
