File Gallery
Simple template with javascript - outputs default gallery (5 posts)

I was reading through the comments on the plugin website and can see I'm not the only one who has experienced a problem with the simple template.

For some reason, the gallery only outputs the default template instead of the simple one with javascript.

    I too am using the following shortcode: [gallery link="file" linkclass="thickbox" orderby="rand" template="simple"]

I have tried de-activating other plugins that also use javascript but nothing seems to make it work?

Anyone got an idea or pointer with what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks

@pinkgarden: have you added "thickbox" to the list of auto-enqueued lightboxes on the Media settings screen?

Any chance you could you post a link to a non-working example on your website?

Thickbox was already entered into that box, I didn't need to add it.

Unfortunately my website is not visible to the public so no can do on that one... I'll either keep trying or find something else that works with my site.

    Thanks for the reply Aesqe.

My best guess would be that some other javascript is throwing an error.

Pleas try activating one of the default themes (Twenty Ten, for example), and see if it works then.

Yes, this was indeed the case. I de-activated all my java plugins but I overlooked the fact I have java in my current themes header for CurvyCorners and EasySlider. One of those two must be conflicting with the script.

I dare say there's no work around other than to remove them right?

Is it possible that because EasySlider is calling jquery.js aswell so it's being called twice and that's where my problem lies?

Thanks for your help Aesqe, after looking at it on a default layout it's pretty cool. Just wish it would work with my current theme setup.
