   I am having bad luck with the various "auto thumbnail / featured post" plugins and would like to know if feedwordpress would simply assign an image as a featured image if I explicitly tagged it as such in the RSS feed. Is that possible?

   Is there a way to post these data due "custom post settings" (option in settings)

   If your goal is to display a Thumbnail, then you may find this useful:
   Get the first image from the wordpress post and display it
