Yeah, but the implication is that the other plugin is the one with the problem. However, that's simply not true most of the time. It's because you haven't coded FCG properly!
Why not just put in the extra bit of effort that it would take to fix the problems?
I know that Brian Gardner used to use FCG, but as far as I can see he's ditched you now in favour of another plugin. Simply because you don't bother to support it or update it.
The new Dynamic Content Gallery plugin doesn't suffer with anywhere near the number of incompatibilities FCG does, because more care was taken coding it!
Sorry to sound harsh, but I'm just telling it the way it is.
