The labels on left option does not agree with some themes.
Try this:
Reset the style to labels on top.

after reading your post, something clicked… I had set the overall DIV too wide, giving IE a chance to screw up.

I have though a problem with the labels on left display option too, and indeed it is only with a specific theme.
Do you mean that i won’t be able to use the labels on left display with this theme then?
I’m gonna contact the person in charge of this theme but i wanted to know from your side is something can be done?

I have actually re-read what peteratomic was telling about the div width and increasing it as indeed solved part of my problem (the labels and fields are on the same line) but still some strange things happen with what is below the form, which goes up and mix with the end of the form (sorry not clear i can send you a screenshot if you want).
And this happened with the default theme of WordPress as well as with the one i’ve installed.
