HTML before form field and HTML after form field (5 posts)

    Hello,

    Thanks for an absolutely fantastic plugin!

    One thing I am having an issue with. I created an extra field and entered some HTML in the "HTML before form field 1" and in the "HTML after form field 1" areas.

    The problem is that both the "before" AND "after" HTML get added BEFORE the field, which doesn't make sense to me. This seems like perhaps a glitch, unless I'm just missing something. Which is entirely possible.

    Thanks again though for the fabulous plugin and for any assistance you may be able to offer with that one issue.

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks for your reply.

    This is still on localhost so instead I've copied below just the relevant HTML from the portion of the form in question.

    <div style="text-align:left;">
             <div id="name">
            </div>

            <div style="text-align:left; padding-top:5px;">
                    <label for="si_contact_ex_field1_1">Name<span class="required"> *</span></label>
            </div>
            <div style="text-align:left;">

                    <input style="text-align:left; margin:0;" type="text" id="si_contact_ex_field1_1" name="si_contact_ex_field1" value=""  size="40" />
            </div>

            <div style="text-align:left;">
             </div>
            </div>

            <div style="text-align:left;">
             <div id="email">
            </div>

            <div style="text-align:left; padding-top:5px;">
                    <label for="si_contact_ex_field1_2">Email<span class="required"> *</span></label>
            </div>
            <div style="text-align:left;">
                    <input style="text-align:left; margin:0;" type="email" id="si_contact_ex_field1_2" name="si_contact_ex_field2" value=""  size="40" />
            </div>

    I was trying to "wrap" the fields in divs using the HTML before/after options because I wanted to have some IDs so I could target specific blocks for different formatting.

    So, from the excerpt above, what I'd added was:

    HTML before form field 1:

    <div id="name">

    HTML after form field 1:

    </div>

    and

    HTML before form field 2:

    <div id="email">

    HTML after form field 2:

    </div>

    Hope this explanation makes sense but let me know if not.

    Thanks!

    HTML Before and After fields should not be wrapped in <div style="text-align:left;"> </div> or at least there should be a checkbox in modifiable CSS Style Feature where you could get rid of the html before / after div.

    I added this to my to-do list for a future update.
    "HTML Before and After fields should not be wrapped in divs"
