[cc] not working correctly in Email To: field (8 posts)

    Hello,

I am trying to use the [cc] method as described on the instructions for the Email To: field.

    Sales,user3@example.com;[cc]user1@example.com;[cc]user2@example.com;[bcc]user3@example.com

For me, when I use this format, all the [cc] people show up in the To: field, not the CC line. However, when I use the [bcc] option, it seems to work properly. People don't appear in either the To: or CC: fields, but I still get the email, which is good.

The form works, but it would be cleaner for the [cc] fields to work properly as this is just a temporary measure until we can get the spam filters to allow the emails to go through.

    Thanks,

    Roger

    Hello,

Is there another way I can contact you? When I paste my settings into the box, I keep getting the message:

Illegal characters in POST. Possible email injection attempt

I am using [cc] and @, what other characters could be illegal the semi-colon?

There is no problem at all. It is correct for a cc email address to follow the to: address with a comma when you look at the mail headers.
    even gmail does this.

I do see that it is possible to use a separate CC header. I am testing a code change to possible make it more compatible.

    Hello everybody,

I'm having the same problem but stranger.

Also I get the error "Illegal characters in POST. Possible email injection attempt" when I send the form on my sub domain. The most obvious reason would be the fact that the email address is from my main domain, and the form is on a sub domain.

Strangely, on the same sub domain I have two more forms with the same email addresses that work perfectly. Also all the settings of the new form I copied from the working one.

Does anyone have a clue? I hope to hear about it.

    Cheers, Youri

"Illegal characters in POST." means some thing you typed in your form looks suspicious like code to hack the form.
Try not posting html stuff there.
