[resolved] 'Publish to author's Timeline' checkbox goes 'unchecked' (6 posts)

so after i setup everything, and got the open graph publish option finally set, I go to my wordpress blog and create a post

the post never shows on my FB timeline, if I click on 'submit' on open graph 'publish' function, there is nothing there

I go to the FB settings on the FB plugin and the option 'Publish to author's Timeline' is unchecked

i check it and save settings, i can revisit the page as many times as I like 'Publish to author's Timeline' is checked, but if I create a post, it goes unchecked by itself

    any ideas ?

This is one of the (many) moronic bits of unexplained behaviour I understood by looking at the code (presumably trying to debug the same problem as you have): when the plugin fails to post to the feed (i.e. gets an API error from Facebook), it silently disables feed posting. And doesn't give you any other sort of information.

After a couple hours, looking through the code and debugging the API, my impression is that the current plugin uses outdated calls to their own API (???).

I can't believe this is supposed to be an official plugin.

This seems to be one of the poorest supported apps, maybe one might have better luck with the non official ones :(

@crego3d: I was able to fix the bug myself. Feel free to take a stab at it yourself:

We also fixed this in 1.0.1. See the thread that @Dave posted. Thanks

Reopen this thread if you're still seeing issues.
