    I keep getting this Error message

    [Some or all access permissions are missing. Please click the button Grant access rights! and authorize the plugin to post to your Facebook profile or page.]

    When I click the "Grant Access rights" button nothing happens.

    I'm not sure where to go from here.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I was having the same problem check out this from another discussion, http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-facebook-page-publish-your-page-or-profiles-access-permissions-could-not-be-verified

    It fixed the problem for me.

    Hi Everyone, I finally got this working. The problem comes from this:
    https://developers.facebook.com/docs/offline-access-deprecation/

    In wp-content/plugins/facebook-page-publish/fpp_index.php

    On line 663
    Change

    $permissions = array('offline_access', 'share_item');

    to

    $permissions = array('share_item');

    Then on line 594, change

    preg_match('/^.+=\s*(.+)/', $access_token_url, $matches);

    to

    preg_match('/access_token=(.*)&expires/', $access_token_url, $matches);

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you! Now if I can only find where line 663 and 594 is? You say it's in wp-content/plugins/facebook-page-publish/fpp_index.php but I'm not sure where to find it? Any suggestions?

    Thank you!!!

    Cutting in on this to say thanks, it worked for me.

    The file is where shown in your WP folder wp-content/plugins/facebook-page-publish/fpp_index.php

    I use dreamweaver so downloaded the file to edit then uploaded. In DW the line numbers are accurate.

    If you're using a text editor then doing a search on the strings should find it

    Thank you so very much. The plugin worked for only one of my WordPress sites. Changing those codes fixed the issue on my other sites. Thank you so very much!

    Just a note: You really shouldn't have to edit the plug-in to get it working. Part of the issue (IMHO) is that Facebook keeps changing stuff so quickly it's almost impossible for most to keep up.

    To fix this issue without having to edit the plugin, simply admin your Facebook App and go to Advanced. Turn off the 'Remove offline_access permission' and that should do it.

    Hi, i'm using this plugin to post on a Facebook fan page through an Facebook app. So this error happened a few days ago and i noticed if i set to Disabled the "Remove offline_access permission" in the Migrations Advanced Options (for my Facebook App), the plugin works again.

    I have tried both changing the Advanced settings and changing the plugin code as has been suggested and nothing is working. I've used this plugin on several sites in the past (which area currently working) and it's worked just fine. I've even copied all of the settings but no go this time.

    Not sure what else to do. Tried Simple FB Connect but it also gives errors and won't publish. Host is GoDaddy, so nothing to unusual there.

    Thoughts?

    Been rummaging around with all the similar plugins and circling back to this one I found the "easy-to-miss-if-you're-scanning" comments from Hardison and Smartmonk work perfect.

    1. Go to Your Facebook App - https://facebook.com/developers
    2. Click on your App
    3. Click edit App
    4. Find "Settings" Menu on the left and click "Advanced"
    5. In the Migrations settings Set "Remove offline_access permission" to Disabled.
    6. Save changes.
    7. Click "Grant Permissions" on the plugin settings page.

    Thanks Brian - I'd already tried that one too. Didn't work. That's why I say I don't know what else to do. So strange since it's working fine on other sites. Nothing special about this one.

    Hey there,
    I've been trying to install this on to a new WordPress site, but it looks like facebook have changed their app dashboard.
    https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2012/08/21/changes-to-the-app-dashboard/

    Not sure how to install it anymore!

    This plugin has not been contributed to for over a year and the author has vanished, so I took it upon myself to release an update to the plugin and provide support - I will soon be expanding the plugin and cleaning up all the code (already done some).
