[Plugin: Facebook] Not allowing a brand page or fan page to register an app

    You’ll need a user account in order to create apps.

    I have to agree with the poster here.

    The plugin says to create an app, so I click the link. It doesn’t go to a “create an app page” but somewhere else.

    So I log in to my FB account, and then create a brand page for what I want to promote.

    Try clicking the create an app link again, but I get nothing of the sort. All I ever get is the “admined pages” page, and there is no option anywhere to create an app. Going through the help system etc just results in the same process – I’m told to install the Developer App, but when I try that I just end up back on the Admined pages list.

    This is the most ridiculous frustrating waste of my time, and it seems to have been made far harder than was necessary. All I want is for people to be able to Like my site or share it.

    I may well revert to plugins I’ve used in the past.
