I love this plugin but i wish i get notifications when somebody uses this plugin to comment on any of my blog article.

Seems that feature is available on the plugin just that it doesn't seem to work. I did put in my facebook UID, yet i still don't get any notification. My website is http://insulated-doghouse.com

Cobbinaloic, sorry for the delay. I'm on vacation.

Notifications are coming. They won't be around for another few weeks though.

    My apologies!

First I just have to say (I love your plugin!!) Thanks Swan.

Now I have a Q. Were do I find the Notification UID so I can get that part to work?

    Thanks

    Mimse

    @Mimse
Just search "how to find facebook UID" on google, you will find useful articles on how to do that. For now, notifications are still not working yet so entering your UID wouldn't help.

Swan is still working on that.

    nice plugin, thank you.
i also have- a question about notifications, what about multiple uids to get multiple facebook users notified of blog comments?
is that possible, maybe separated by commas ?
    thank you

cobbinaloic, thanks for helping Mimse out!

flandero, the notifications are currently broken, but when I fix them in the new year, I can by all means allow you to add multiple recipients for notifications.

Until notifications are working, you can try 'Facebook Comment Control' plugin that places a list of all your comments on your dash so you can keep track of them :

Facebook Comment Control does an excellent job of keeping you informed for now. :-)

Facebook Comment Control also wants my user ID for notification. I use a custom Facebook URL ("xiann") so I put that into the box, but after a little testing I'm not sure if it's working.

I googled "how to find facebook UID" but didn't get any answers that worked for me. Does anyone know?

    Thanks!

Hold your mouse pointer over the Profile link at the top of Facebook, then right-click and Copy - then paste into notepad and you should have your UID at the end of the URL... unless you have a custom facebook URL, in which case you should view your profile page, on the left where it says Friends (number) right-click and copy, paste and you should find your UID in the URL. Hope that helps :)

@a1wsn: I was using a custom Facebook URL, but the link to my friends number worked perfectly. Thank you!

Hi, I have an existing blog that I've moved to a new host and am using this plugin instead of the old one I was using. How to I keep the number of "likes" to show correctly? Everything shows up as 0 likes right now since I just installed it. Is there a way to do this?

@touchstoneweimaraners: I'm not sure how to maintain the Like count at the moment, but I'm looking into it.

Even though the number may be lower, the links back to your page still remain, so the actual connections still exist. But I understand the number is still important. ;-)

    Hello!

I'm having the same issue. The plugin is working fine, but I don't get any notifications when someone comments.

In the settings there's an option that says that I will be sent an email notification when someone comments on my blog (FB comments) but I haven't received any.

I have just found comments that are weeks old but I haven't been able to reply because I didn't know someone had commented.

Hope someone can help me resolve this.

    Thanks! :-)

This plug-in just put out version 3.1.3 today, and it still says that email and Facebook notifications will be sent out if someone comments on your blog. WHY DOES THIS FEATURE STILL NOT WORK??

@Graham Swan, please get back to us about the status of this flaw in your plug-in.

    Thanks.

    Hello all of the above...
I think I'm right in saying that graham swan is no longer developing this plugin, but the person who runs the website at we8u.com. In any case, the author is aware of this problem in the plugin and is working on the fixes. In the meanwhile I urge you to show a little gratitude for plugin authors. They have put hours of work into these plugins as you can see on the dev time that is posted on the changelog page.
So if you want to see the plugin go forward:
1/ show some thankfulness, rather than always asking more of people that are using of their spare time to bless the community
2/ consider a donation to the plugin author

@revolutionfrance: You are absolutely right, and I for one did not mean to come off like I demanded anything - I only asked for assistance. I always appreciate the free plugins and I can only imagine the amount of work that is behind them all. A big Thank You to the developer/author of this one! :-)

Hello Maria, yes, your tone was much more friendly in your comment and it's no prob to ask for assistance, that's what the forums are for after all :-) I was actually just reacting to wharriman :-) It seems like the widget is not working either for now, or at least only with v1 comments. So if you are using v2, then these will not appear. We8u is aware of this, because it is mentioned in the settings page of the plugin...

    Have a great day!

@revolutionfrance: Sorry if I sounded upset, but I've posted multiple times about this issue and have not gotten any response from the developer, so I was unaware that he knows about it and is working on it. Usually I get at least a "Yes, we know it's broken and we're fixing it" reply, but this time nothing. I get that the plug-in is free, I get that a lot of time goes into development, and I appreciate the work he's done. It would just be nice to know the guy is listening and can address his customers' concerns. At least in my comment I said please and thank you, that's more than some people do .

My apologies if I offended anybody, and my compliments to the developer. Have a good one!
