Brad, you can't display the comments on the front page yet. It's on the backlog.

    Craigg,

It's a conflict with your Facebook share code. You can only use one or the other at this point.

Ok well it works with both on my green park 2 theme here.

    Any clue why?

I'm not too sure. I've been looking into it and I think it has to do with the order in which the scripts are loaded.

The script causing the conflict on your other blog is the one that references FB.Share. If you remove that script and ensure you're using the <fb:like> code, it may work.

I'm trying to resolve these conflicts, but since I don't have control over other people's plugins, it's tough to cure all the bugs.

What I just did on both blogs was remove the facebook share (new) plugin and used the one that comes with wordbooker instead and that seems to work with both if you wanna check. Most people use wordbooker anyway.

I just added a new section to the FAQ at http://grahamswan.com/facebook-comments/#faq. It's the second question down.

You can also try following the new steps there to see if it fixes the conflict (although you seem to have fixed it already).

Thanks Graham for the version 1.5.2.

I just found that when I disable the plugin Ghostery the the comment box appears again.

Sorry for the silly mistake :P
    and thanks for your help.

    Keep going ~

    Hi Graham,

I'm having an issue of late with the plugin.
Upon first load, the comments will load a facebook page in what appears to be an inline frame. (see link)
    Screenshot

After a refresh, all is good. Any idea how to avoid this?
I'm also running a plugin called ShareThis to add the facebook/twitter icons to each post, and a script on the sidebar (facebook's like box).

    Thanks in advance.

dsol828, that's a Facebook bug they introduced recently. It's out of my control.

It looks like its just when I include the like box.
    Which looks like this:

    <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"></script><fb:like-box href="URL" width="280" show_faces="true" stream="false" header="false"></fb:like-box>

I saw in the FAQ that the issue is with the multiple calls to that JS?
There is no fix for that right? They can't co-exist or call on the same file once?

If you remove the <script> call, it may work.

    Ouu so close!
Sure enough, it works when your plugin and the sidebar exist on the same page, just not on the FRONT page (since your plugin doesn't exist there).

Could I put that call into the php? where would I need to put it?

Perhaps in the home.php or header.php file in your active theme's directory. I'm not too sure. Google for the answer!

    dsol828,

you can use if(is_home()) and place the code with the script and in else you can put it without the script.

    Hi Graham,

I'm trying to use your plugin in my site (http://erbon.net/Blog) and still not successful. I have followed all the instructions you state in your FAQ as well as a few tips I got googling around, all that I get is the comments box displayed but no comment retrieved. You may check it in this post:

    http://www.erbon.net/Blog/?p=2676

Don't know what else to do. Your support here would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I just implemented this plugin for our site, http://grgrub.com, and it seems whenever anyone posts a comment it goes on EVERY post, not just the individual post. Please help!!!

Hi Bryan, can you post a direct link to some of the posts you're having problems with? I only saw disqus comment forms.

HI, I've update this plugin to the latest version and now I got this error "Invalid or no certificate authority found, using bundled information" and the website crashes

Hi! Good work! However, I cannot make the "Administer comments" link appear and so I cannot adjust anonymous posts. I know people have had this issue before. Do you know if I could do it somehow, or it is still a facebook side problem? I have looked at the widget page and saw the live demo working like a charm ... :(

mil0tche: From the WordPress dashboard, please Deactivate, then Delete the plugin. Then click 'Add New' and search for 'facebook comments' and install version 3.0.2. If this doesn't fix your problem, let me know.

Johm: Are you using facebook's new system v2? If so, then unfortunatly, they have disabled anonamyous comments (see here).

If, however, you're using v1 (that is, in the plugin settings you have the first two boxes unchecked), post a link to your site along with a list of the plugins you're using and I'll try to help you out.

Yes, both are unchecked. I am still developing it. You can see the problem at http://bit.ly/gOteN0 I am getting a lot of dubug notices because it seems that you haven't defined a couple of indexes before checking them. Thanks a lot for your help and quick reply. Please delete the address above when you see it.

I am currently trying various plugins, but I think I will erase most of them :) Active Plugins: 3D Carousel Menu FX, Contact Form 7, Facebook Comments for WordPress, flickrRSS, Focus Slider FX, Font Resizer, ICIT Weather widget, Image Flow FX, Media Slideshow FX, Photo Flipper FX, qTranslate, Simple Weather, Social Media Widget, WordPress Popular Posts, WP-PageNavi, WP Google Weather, WP_Meteo3D Widget

Graham's plugin works perfectly if you use it correctly and without conflicting other Plugins.

Don't double up on these! -
    <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1">
Just use the <fb:like> part of the code once you have loaded the Javascript Asychronously inthe header.

Also, Graham's said it before but the deprecated Facebook "Share" tool (different from the "Like" plugin) can cause conflicts as well.

I also call the Facebook Javascript library asychronously in my header to make all of my different Connect plugins work right:

This happened to me when I had an extra <script src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1"> on my page.
