I tried almost all of the database plugins yesterday, the only plugin that has worked EXACTLY as described, and didn't ERROR OUT! It copies EVERYTHING, its fast, it gives you FEEDBACK THE ENTIRE TIME so you know its ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING, you don't have to sign up for some offline storage and HOPE your backup EVENTUALLY shows up,and you can instantly download a zip of your backup! NOTHING COMES CLOSE! Thank You For this plugin!

The database requires manual installation via your server's database admin app, usually phpMyAdmin, through the IMPORT function. Just import your saved database .sql file and it will restore your database to the point where it was saved.

take the .sql file that you have - open it in notepad - do a search -> replace for old url to new url
also, make sure the database details are correct in your local wp-config.php

I would recommend using the following steps so you'll keep the original wordpress intact until you're sure everything is ok:
    1) Move your original wordpress root folder into a new folder named something like MySite-orig.

    2) Upload the EZPZ Backup into the folder where wordpress is located.
For example, if your wordpress is in home/mysite then upload the backup to home. When you extract the zip you'll see the mysite folder and the db.sql located in home.

    3) Import the db.sql into your database and everything should be back to normal.

If all works right you can then delete the zip, sql and the MySite-orig folder you created.

Hi thanks a lot they are all working. I have just edited the wp-config.php file and it is now connected to the db. I will try the second alternative you gave. Thanks a lot! :)

Isn't it unsecure saving a backup copy on the webserver, without giving an option to delete it after the download?

    Hi, EZPZSolutions:
First of all, thank you for the great plugin.
I have one question: Can I use EZPZ backup file copy one domain to another?
For example: I have one EZPZ backup file for ABC.com, and now I have one blank domain XYZ.com hosting in same hoster. I want copy ABC.com to XYZ.com, let XYZ.com exactly like ABC.com. Can I restore ABC.com backup file to XYZ.com? how can I do it?
    Can you help me?
    thank you in advance
    Charles

    Hi, EZPZSolutions:
I tried to restore my website as you told to "neo4evr" above.

`At first,it looks ok. but late I try to use "Permalinks" in wp-admin dashboard,I got error:
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 48496640) (tried to allocate 262160 bytes) in /home/cc2cd/public_html/www.chineserecipesenglish.com/wordpress/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1028

I tried three backup files(backup on July 8th, August 6th. and August 23th.) I got same error.
(I am sure the "Permalinks" was working at least in July 8th backup file)
    I used:
    EZPZ v0.70.4
    wordpress: v3.2.1
    theme - Suffusion v3.7.8
    I can't recover now.
I don't know that is a bug or I do something wrong ( I used one click backup).
And I don't know how to fix it. if I update wordpress or theme, can it recover or not?
    any one have any idea?
    thank you
    Charles

I have followed the information on how to reinstall my database in sql and did so with no problem. I have worked my wp-config.php to death but am having one problem. I am getting the following which has brought me to a dead stop: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user I changed the password on wp-config.php to the one for my database which hasn't helped at all. How can I get past this message and back to my site? Thank you.

I had EZPZ working quite well on a test site while the users were adding content. I migrated the site to a new domain for production, and used the EZPZ backup files to manually copy the data.

However, now I cannot get EZPZ to run on the new site - on a manual backup it goes all the way thru about half of the zipping file and then the page just freezes. I get some error messages in the corner such as: 'loopTime' is undefined and Invalid character but cannot find how to fix this. I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled.

    Any suggestions?

I cannot get EZPZ to work. When I try to do a Manual Backup I get this message

Warning: file_put_contents(/homepages/30/d137977883/htdocs/Southern Breezes Villa/wp-content/plugins/ezpz-one-click-backup/backups/0FQRbfpiAaA9vK8/FILELOCK) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/30/d137977883/htdocs/Southern Breezes Villa/wp-content/plugins/ezpz-one-click-backup/ezpz-ocb-backup.php on line 3

When I select Background Backup I get the message Please wait....a background backup is in progress and after a while the url of the site shows up but when I select Download Backup there are no backups listed.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!
