• On a fresh install of the plugin, it will run a manual backup for a few times and then get a 500 error. After that, it will always get a 500 error until it is deleted and reinstalled.

The Apache log shows errors similar to this:

    74.130.181.37 - - [21/Oct/2011:11:55:23 -0700] "GET thesite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ezpz_ocb_backup HTTP/1.1" 500 585 "http://thesite.com/wp-admin/" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1"

If I look at the backups directory under the plugin, it seems that everything is complete except the final creation of the zip file. The EZPZ_RESTORATION_FILES folder is there with the sql dump of the database and the html.zip of all files.

There is an EZPZ_RUNNING file also in the directory.

I have tried setting permissions to 0777 all around with no success.

I don’t know if it is relevant, but I do not see the screen which shows the progress of the backup until/unless it succeeds.

    Any advice appreciated.
