[Plugin: Explanatory Dictionary] Use of certain characters breaks website (4 posts)

    Hello,

I have been finding this plugin the best so far for what I was after and that is to display a tooltip for words I enter into a glossary index. This has served good however I have encountered quite a serious problem with the plugin now.

When using some punctuation characters such as an apostrophe "'", the plugin does not recognise these and therefore does not highlight the word and thus not have a tooltip available.

And more vitally, when using a backslash "/", it brings down the whole website throwing database errors.

It would also be nicer to see some additional controls over the plugin, for example, only highlighting entries in the dictionary on certain pages/posts and the ability to select how many of the same instance to highlight on any given page.

    Feedback appreciated, many thanks.

The bug which shows an error when you use several characters in explanatory dictionary is fixed in the new 1.5 version.

Hello, thx for this nice plugin, but the apostrophe issue is quite annoying especially when like me you're french. Can you give us any clue about how to fix it?
    best regards.

    dee-signer,

Please write here an example of word or word expression which is quite annoying and I'll test it.

    Thanks
