    Hi,

I am trying to bulk optimise my entire library of 12,000+ images. I tried the latest version, and it did 927 before it seemed to time out (I didn’t get any errors and the timer kept going, but no more images got processed.

After that I tried doing 500 at a time from the Media Manager, however when I go to the third page, select all my images and choose ‘Bulk optimise’ I get the following error:

ERROR The requested URL could not be retrieved

Is there a maximum number of images that I can do at a time from the media manager?

    Thanks

Nope, there’s no maximum, but the bulk actions can be unpredictable depending on what kind of images you are processing. In particular, PNG images over 300k can be quite resource intensive. The most common culprit for those are screenshots taken on linux (no idea what crazy person chose PNG as the default format for those, it usually produces less than optimal results).
