EWWW Image Optimizer
[resolved] Bulk Optimize 6000+ Images Timeout (4 posts)

When trying to bulk optimize, my server will timeout and return results for 71/6000 images.

Is there a way to do 10 optimizations at a time and then optimize the next 10. Like the "Update Network" works in wordpress multisite.

Absolutely: go to the Media Library, select a bunch of images (or select all of them on the page), and then choose Bulk Optimize from the drop-down actions list.

Sorry, I meant when I select all 6000 images, it will only process 10 at a time and then do the next 10.

guess I never came back to this, because you didn't mark it as unresolved again. At any rate, you can change the number of images displayed per page on the Media Library, and do batches of images that way from 10 images up to 200. Also, newer version of EWWW Image Optimizer have 'resume' capability, so that it will do as many as it can before hitting your server limits, and you can simply go back to Bulk Optimize, and hit the button to continue where it left off.
