Plugin Events Planner – Registration on different URL

I’m trying to get the registration of an event to work on a different URL (same domain) but am having a hard time since this whole process is displayed on 1 page where the shortcode is displayed and I don’t want to mess with the plugin code.

What ways are there to get the following situation?

The event details URL: /event/event-name
After I click “Register”, I’m then taken to:
Registration URL: /register?epl_action=process_cart_action&cart_action=add&event_id=1

I’ve tried to copy/paste the registration form view code into custom wp pages but can’t get the details (dates etc) to display, tried calling the EPL_Registration model from the custom wp pages but that model isn’t loaded.
