• My opera booking system is set for “Allow guest bookings?” No

All my users and opera groups are registered before they can book.

But they cant login to book. Nothing happens. I started getting complaints yesterday when I was on version 4.0.8 and the problem is still there on version 4.0.82.

I just found out, that the work around is allowing guest bookings. Then the registered users can login. If I change back to “Allow guest bookings?” No, the problem comes back – and I get no bookings.

do you mean they can’t log in to book from the login form under the booking form? or can they not log in anywhere in the site?

I have testet, that my test user who is a registered user is able to login to WordPress.

But the test user is not able to login under the booking form with the headline: “Log in if you already have an account with us.” The “wheel” is just turning and turning. Nothing happens.

If I change the setting på “Allow guest booking” my registered testuser is able to login at the same prompt.

(I have not testet if the user can create an account. I never use it.)

I had no problems with that in 4.0.6. All my registered user could login in connection with all my events. (stjerne.nu/events)

what other login plugins do you use? that form doesn’t use ajax so something else is doing that (I’m even wondering if it’s my login with ajax plugin?!).

I use no other plugins for login. I actually use only a few plugins – and nothing was changed or added in the in the period i moved from from 4.0.6 to 4.0.7, then 4.0.8 and now 4.0.82

    The plugins I have are:

Akismet, Events Manager, Google Analytics for WordPress (Yoast), Redirection, Subscribe2, Use Google Libraries, WordPress.com Stats, WordPress SEO and WPtouch Pro.

The only one I can think of is Use Google Libraries. I will try to deactivate that one.

    Thread Starter Frank Stjerne

    (@frankstjerne)

No – even with Use Google Libraries deactivated I am not able to login.

(Allows your site to use common javascript libraries from Google’s AJAX Libraries CDN, rather than from WordPress’s own copies.).

If I change the setting to enable guest login I am able to login both as new user and as registered user. No problems at all.

    What is the difference??

    Thread Starter Frank Stjerne

    (@frankstjerne)

Ajax or not Ajax: We are talking about the same login page and functionality. The login works when the setting is Allow Guest Login. The same login page and box does not work when I don’t allow Guest Login.

This was working in 4.0.6 with no problems.

    (@frankstjerne)

I removed Use Google Libraries completely, flushed my browser and the problem is still there.

try changing your theme or disabling your plugins. that spinner shouldn’t be showing, 99% it’s either a JS conflict of sort or possibly bad HTML in your theme.

    Thread Starter Frank Stjerne

    (@frankstjerne)

This has been working in this theme with no problems up to version 4.0.6.

The problem showed up after upgrading to version 4.0.8.

Why is the login box working when Allow guest user is set to Yes?

Why is the exact same login box not working when Allow guest user is set to No?

I am having the same problem as frankstjerne.

I am using WordPress in a IIS 7 Windows environment and very few plugins.

    Has the problem been resolved?

    Thread Starter Frank Stjerne

    (@frankstjerne)

    I’m on Apache.

No, to my knowledge it has not been resolved. I have tried to change my theme to TwentyEleven, but the problem was still there. I have disabled my WPTouch Pro, and the problem was still there.

    I give up.

i tried this and didn’t see any issues before. I’ll check again and see

btw, if you have a link for me to check that would help (and also the browser you get this on). i can’t reproduce this, so until I can not much I can do to fix it.

I’ll be adding an option to disable the login form entirely in events > setttings in next update

OK, please test as fast as possible:

    http://stjerne.nu/events

I use Safari, Firefox and Crome. I get the same error in all of them. I’m on a Mac so I don’t have IE.
