[Plugin: Events Manager] Use Events categories along with other categories

Hello,

Events manager has events categories of its own. The events on my website are set up to show as posts instead of as pages. I did that so that I could use my other categories for the events as well and so that I don’t have multiple categories with the same name.
Is there any way to incorporate the categories from Events Manager into the website’s categories? I dont want to incorporate the site’s categories into Events manager.
