[Plugin: Events Manager] showing start and end dates in another plugin

hi, thanks for the fabulous plugin. everything is working well so far, but i can’t figure out how to reference the em_start_date and em_end_date in another plugin (recent posts slider). the other plugin was able to read the events in events manager by specifying post_type => event. however, i’m unsure of how i need to call the event date outside of events manager.
