    Hi,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to come up with an RSS feed for by Events Manager - by region (ie, New York or 'Charlotte').

    Is this possible?

    Much thanks,

    Brian

I saw this page, but don't understand the proper syntax/usage of it....

i tried placing the short code they provide for the RSS URL:
[events_rss_url] - but that gives me ALL events. I'm not sure how to combo this shortc ode up with an attribute for 'region'.

According to the documentation, the following 'should' work:

[events_rss_url, region="Charlotte"] or even something like:

    [events_rss_url],EM_region:San Diego]

    No luck.

please try this one instead. (removing the comma) [events_rss_link region="Charlotte"]

you can also customize its template and docs @ http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/shortcodes/

Close, but that only gets me my full RSS feed URL without using the limiting attribute of 'region' - it creates just this URL:

    feed://www.localjobs.com/blog/events/rss/

Again, am trying to limit just those for the region of 'Charlotte'....

    Hmmm. Any other ideas?

you could modify the template file and add in a 'region'=>'Charolotte' attribute to the templates/templates/rss.php file

My ultimate aim is to provide MailChimp with an RSS URL that it can read in to display only events in the email for "Charlotte" mail receipients. Make sense?

You can do it like this:

    1. Create a directory /plugins/events-manager/ to your current theme.
    2. Open your EM installation and click /templates
    3. now you see another templates folder
    4. copy that folder to your previously created directory inside your theme. Note : you can delete the files that you dont need
    5. after copying, open rss.php and add in 'region'=>'Charolotte' to line 22 e.g. $EM_Events = EM_Events::get( array('scope'=>'future', 'owner'=>false, 'region' => 'GALWAY') );
