   Hi Marcus,
   I have a big problem. I have set the max dimension of the images in bytes (1MB = 1048576 bytes) and the size 650px x 650px but it doesn't work so my users can upload very very big images crushing my server. Do you know why? Thank you very much for your help!

   did you set the max size, height and width at EM settings > general > image sizes ?

   also, did you try to turn-on WP_DEBUG to see if there's any other error or see your PHP logs?

   i don't get this issue.... what about your WP media settings? since we use featured images for this now it should be respecting limits imposed by the WP media library too.

   for me, limits are respected

   WP media settings are ok and work fine. I don't know how to say... but limit the size of images would be very important to me..
