does it validate here: icalvalid.cloudapp.net
Hi Marcus,
Nope it doesn’t validate there either, I’d tried that before posting, sorry I forgot to mention it.. Here’s what I got when attempting to validate via URL:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DDay.iCal.Validator.RFC5545.VersionValidator.Validate() in C:\Users\jon\icalvalid\DDay.iCal.Validator\trunk\DDay.iCal.Validator\RFC5545\Components\VCALENDAR\VersionValidator.cs:line 37 at DDay.iCal.Validator.RFC5545.RulesetValidator.Validate() in C:\Users\jon\icalvalid\DDay.iCal.Validator\trunk\DDay.iCal.Validator\RulesetValidator.cs:line 190 at ValidatorWebRole._Default.Validate(Int64 byteCount, TextReader tr) in C:\Users\jon\icalvalid\DDay.iCal.Validator\trunk\DDay.iCal.Validator.Client.CloudApp\ValidatorWebRole\Default.aspx.cs:line 227
if you visit the ical url directly, does it try to download the calendar to your pc?
Yup, when I go to the /events.ics under my site, it does manage to download the file to my PC. But when I try to open the file in my Outlook 2007, I get that ‘events.ics is not a valid Internet Calendar file’ error.
do you have a link I could try and see?
Hi Marcus, could I have your e-mail so I could send you the link instead? As it is not very convenient to place the link here. Sorry for the inconvenience!
np, just point me back here so I know it’s you and use this http://wp-events-plugin.com/contact-us/
